When I lived in Germany I dated a lovely Polish woman. She remembers the Soviet days as most Poles do. Horrible. However her family was VERY lucky because her grandmother ran the local rationed grocery store so they always got enough food and supplies to stay comfortable. She remember it was a HUGE deal when someone would smuggle a banana for the family and they cut it up in to small slices so everyone got a piece. Then, for other special occasions, someone would managed to sneak some American peanuts in to the black market. There is a soviet style restaurant in Warsaw she took me to. They kept it exactly the same as it was, but now anyone can go, not just members of ‘The Party.’ Life was good as a member of “the Party” in good standing. The rest of the people... Terrible.
“It’s funny, sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is because people are lining up for food. That is a good thing! In other countries, people don’t line up for food. The rich get the food and the poor starve to death.” - Bernie Sanders
When I was a kid we had an exchange student from East Germany (Through the Methodist (commie) church).
He nearly panicked the first time we took him to a grocery store. He could not comprehend how a building is so huge with so much food can even exist.

I use the Brave browser on my phone.
It blocks almost all ads and pop-ups...

“It’s certainly uncontaminated with cheese!”

The goal of our own Democrat Party. And it flows off their ability to do as they please, steal elections, and their accursed two tier justice system.
My parents were kids during the Depression. They voted Republican as far back as I can remember, and yet, they still dragged us kids to FDR's home in Hyde Park, NY. It was incomprehensible to me.
After seeing articles like this it amazes me when you see young folks campaigning for socialism, communism or just government controlism and I then go grocery shopping at say, Walmart, and see the myriad of choices for food and think: fools and their liberties are soon parted.
I remember store shelves during 2020 looked like this thanks to the gov’t.
