COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) - Authorities in Colorado said two groups of people began attacking each other with cookware as a fight broke out at an apartment complex.
Police in Colorado Springs said they received 10 calls early Tuesday morning as what started as a disturbance between the groups grew into an all-out brawl, beginning inside the building before spilling out into the courtyard.
A Colorado Springs lieutenant said one of the groups of people said they were “jumped” in the stairwell inside the building.
Then, police claim video shared on social media showed the second group of people being “jumped” outside in the building’s courtyard by the first group of people.
The lieutenant said the suspects used household items as weapons.
“Both [fights] supposedly involved individuals hitting others with kitchen pots and pans,” he said.
During the fight in the courtyard, police said what appeared to be five people ganged up on one boy and began beating him with the cookware.
“Two of these individuals, one juvenile and one adult, were arrested for the assault,” the lieutenant said.
The adult was identified as 19-year-old Amiya Guzman. The name of the juvenile suspect has not been released due to their age.
Police say they are still trying to identify others involved in the incident, specifically the other three allegedly involved in assaulting the boy.
"Work" ... Other than you, how many folks in that "hood" went to work?
More likely in this case a telenovia...

Next time it will be guns.
Have family in Colorado Springs who have said the city has gone to h*** over the past decade.
Pretty much no one. That’s one of the reasons I moved to a small village. 45 minute commute but worth it. My kids no longer got attacked (except my son got into one fight) and the schools were much better.
Gee ... what a surprise! 😀
I’ve lost my capacity to groan.
