He betrayed his country, threw away his career, lost his pension and went to prison for $110k. That’s it? Hard to believe there were no more payments.

This guy may not be quite as bright as he thinks he is.

I read about Cold War spies and for how little they would sell tremendously valuable secrets.

“a lavish $3.5 million cliffside villa in Haiku, Maui.”. The Chinese must have given him much more than 110k. He should have been executed, damn traitor.

He should have been the guest of honor at a Rosenberg Rope Rodeo.

“In return, he was paid over $110,000…”

That’s all it took? Wow.

It is sickening that so many people who hate America get citizenship and high security clearances only to turn spy. We are loaded with them.

Separately, but related, why do we still have an H1B program?

Exactly. Maybe he can be "executed" after his release.

The Chinese haven’t had an original thought in over 2,000 years.

$110K to sell out the country?

The Indians do work cheap. That’s how they’re taking over Big Tech. And now they’ll undercut native born Americans in the espionage market as well.

Nobody travels outside travels
of Communist China without being thorough vetting by the CCP. That’s what the “Social Credit Scoring” is all about. It’s the largest spy network ever created.

Gowadia had taken multiple clandestine trips to Chengdu and Shenzhen—cities deeply embedded in China’s military-industrial network—where he presented Chinese officials with powerpoints explaining how to make cruise missiles disappear from radar and infrared sensors. In return, he was paid over $110,000, routed through offshore accounts and Swiss banks.

How do our intelligence services fail to monitor the travels of someone working on top-secret projects?

He sold out cheap. I guess that's another way to evade questions. So was it ideology? Attention? The thrill?

There more to the B-2 than what the perp told them. Meanwhile, as the Chinese try to get a working example of an ancient B-2 flying, the US has moved on to the B-21.

It wasn't just China buying the secrets.

"...the new indictment charges that his lust for money went even further as he shopped U.S. defense secrets to individuals in Israel, Germany and Switzerland, as well China."
