Anderson Cooper and his CNN team were forced to evacuate live on air while broadcasting from Israel.
The network star was discussing the ongoing conflict in the Middle East with the network's chief international correspondent, Clarissa Ward, and Jerusalem correspondent Jeremy Diamond, when sirens started to ring early Monday morning.
'I should just say that we're now hearing an alert,' Ward said as alarms blared in the background.
Cooper informed the audience that they were all getting an alert saying Israeli forces expected a missile to hit their area in 10 minutes.
'So these are these are the alerts that go out on all of our phones when you're in Israel. It's a ten-minute warning of incoming missiles or something incoming from Iran,' Cooper said.
'So now the location we're in has a verbal alarm telling people to go down into bomb shelters. So we have about a ten-minute window to get down into a bomb shelter.'
The CNN star's voice wavered as he asked his crew if it would be possible to continue their broadcast as they evacuated.
'And we'll continue to try to broadcast from that, that bomb shelter. And even if we can, on the way down,' Cooper said.

Well, damn! Someone file a complaint with Massad — this was their chance and they blew it!
Just like WBlitzer . He was on screen when Israel got bombed and he ......... well, yah know.
I’m sorry I missed it!
Just had a flashback to Gulf War Desert Storm, Bernard Shaw, Peter Arnett and the Scud missile alerts.
Yeah, same here. There was one live broadcast where the reporter was outside a prepared bomb shelter, reporting live with sirens wailing in the area - and the video feed suddenly went to static. It turned out that CNN’s Saudi hosts in that location told the reporter (I forget his name now) several times to take cover, then finally unplugged the camera and tossed him into the shelter.

Something like that also happened in Israel. I was watching Ted Koppel’s show and Chris Wallace was reporting. Wallace had his cameraman pan the area where a Scott had just landed, contrary to what Israeli authorities had warned him against doing. Koppel even remarked, live on air, that Wallis was violating the rules. Within a couple of hours, ABC was told that either Chris Wallace was going to leave Israel immediately and not come back for at least the duration of the golf war, or that every single ABC employee was going to be kicked out and not allowed back in for the duration. Needless to say, that arrogant POS, Wallace, was on the next plane out. I will never forgive him for trying to score a momentary video shot that would have helped the Iraqis in targeting future Scud missile attacks, and thus putting many Israelis at danger just for a hoped-for boost to his career. He was a guest in a country at war, an utter scumbag who only cared for his career and not the very lives of the people around him.
Sodom is just a few miles away. Perhaps someone can drive him out there to see what happened.
