Back in ‘97 I was diving in Sharm El Shek in Egypt.
There were women who HAD to wear black burkas to go in the water.
No one went anywhere near them. It was creepy.
There was a blonde clearly looking Swedish in a bikini who got her entire vacation paid for by Egyptian men.
Every 60 min some guy would buy her a drink or take her fishing....
It was really funny to watch.
I was on a cruise out of Galveston. Several women were in full burkas near the pools. You could only see their faces. The men had no problem with the almost naked women around the pool and it appeared that they enjoyed looking. I don’t think a black robe in intense heat is very smart. I thought it was odd to go on a cruise where you can’t enjoy anything. Kind of like going to a nightclub and not drinking or dancing.
