That is not calling for “regime change.”

More nation building.

Apparently Khamenei isn't going quietly. We've been assured by the British tabloids (The Daily Mail, chief among them), that the Islamic government was falling apart under the pressure of Israeli air strikes and would be done by the end of last week.

More disinformation from "The Empire of Lies". Now Trump's decided to throw in his lot with the neocons. Big mistake.

sensationally

If he were gay, there'd be lots of flair, panache, and probably a dance accompaniment.

Of course, there should be “regime change.” But not by American “boots on the ground,” ala Iraq. Let The Iranian people do it, preferably with the help of the Israelis.

I am 100 percent against regime change. If the Iranian people want to change their Govt they can do it, its none of our business what they do. I just wanted the nukes gone, if they want to keep their Ayotollah that’s their business not mine

“Sensationally called for” in first sentence followed by “suggested ... rhetorically asked” in the second sentence. IOW, lamestream leftist media hyperbol - aka bullsh*t.

His critics will jump all over him for this, but rhetorically asking “Why wouldn’t there be regime change?” is quite different than having a hands-on nation-building policy of which regime change is a part. He’s basically signaling to the Iranian people that now would be a good time to take care of biz. And he’s right

Prediction: There will be regime change in Israel before there is regime change in Iran.

I’m not so sure of that. I always felt like maybe the CIA did a color Revolution in Iran because the Shah was trying to get nuclear reactors. I could see them talking Carter into that, thinking the Students might be easier to deal with. Then the strategy backfired spectacularly. The world has been paying for it ever since.

“ ‘Why wouldn't there be a regime change,' Trump asked, rhetorically”

This isn’t asking for a regime change? It is a rhetorical question *
* unless your wife asks a rhetorical question which has scientifically been proven to be a unassailable and incontrovertible demand.

Regime change is a risky mission creep. But if it is done to prevent Iran from getting nukes and can be done without troops on the ground, so be it.

I don’t know an easy way to replace that regime, but let’s face it the regime is the problem. You can keep blowing up their facilities until some day an idiot Democrat president let’s them build a nuke.
And they will keep up their “revenge” and terrorism until someone removes them.

Iranian people need to rise up and make it happen. There is strength in numbers and the mullahs do not have popular support. But the US should not get involved beyond what we’ve already done.

“Trump sensationally calls for Iranian regime change as he holds crisis talks with UK prime minister”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Of course — the idea of regime change in countries like Iran, Russia, North Korea, and China resonates with many. Such a shift could mark the end of some of the most oppressive ideologies in modern times: radical Islamic fundamentalism, neo-Soviet authoritarianism, and rigid communism. The prospect of a freer, more open world is undeniably appealing.

The real question is: how can this transformation come about concerning Iran? Ideally, change would arise from within — led by the courage and determination of the Iranian people themselves.

Bomb,Bomb,Bomb Iran was 45 years ago. Although the CIA likely created this mess, we should destroy the oil export terminal at Kharg Island, and their sole gasoline/diesel refinery. See if the Persians can establish a civilized society. There are almost 100 million sales.
