“”We have an armed populous.
Rogue Iranian cells can only do so much, until they are dead.””
Yes, but... we also have a lot of sheeple too timid to own a firearm, much less use it. We need to get more pro-active and organized re: defensive measures. We need neighborhood watchdog militias that can activate if or when these terrorist cells activate. I know, I’m still dreaming... but it’s a nice one, for a change.

State militias are independent, state-controlled military forces. In contrast, the National Guard is a federally recognized reserve force that can be activated by both state and federal governments.
As of 2024, there exist 20 active state defense forces and 5 active naval militias. The Puerto Rico State Guard includes an air support component, the 1st Air Base Group, that support the operations of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard.
The District of Columbia’s Code mentions the establishment of a “Reserve Corps” and a “Naval Battalion” as potential state militias.
However, while these entities are listed in the Code, they were never actually organized or brought into existence. The legislative framework allows for their creation, but they remain theoretical and have not been operationalized. The code provision outlines their intended structure and function, but historical records indicate that these militias were never established.
