One sympathetic account of this I read made it sound like she was not at the point of the "confrontation" and was only hit a short distance away, an "innocent" bystander. Almost as if she had gone there on a lark to watch the riot from a distance.

I saw a frothing at the mouth, raging, violent Leftist who would gin up the crowd to pull you from your car and murder you.
I don't wish violence on others, but she was laying on the vehicle's hood, pounding on it.
I have no doubt this " loving, outgoing, and full of life" reprobate was so violent, crazed, mouth agape, screaming and spraying spittle on the windscreen inches from the terrified driver's face, that the poor person no doubt panicked.
I have zero-ZERO sympathy for these people blocking traffic, climbing on cars, pounding on them, etc. None. This person "Alexa" got exactly what she deserved to get. This is the flowchart we should all have taped to the inside of our cars should we have to journey into any of these cities:
