How many poor endangered Polar Bears floating around the Arctic Ocean on melting icebergs will need rescuing?

Ah, I see that HAARP is already a keyword.

National Weather Service issues Alaska's first-ever heat advisory
By Mark Thiessen, Associated Press | Posted - June 14, 2025 at 12:12 p.m.

HAARP was holding its open house yesterday as well.

Coincidence?

The first advisory is for Sunday in Fairbanks, where temperatures are expected to top 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Fairbanks has been warmer in the past, but this is unusual for June, officials said.

85? The question is when in the heit are you. In Gakona, if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Alaska was at Fort Yukon when it hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

In 1915!!!!!

Interesting fun fact. Miami has never had a recorded temp of 100F.

It is called summer. I have seen higher temperatures than this over the years. Everything now calls for some government alert and for pearls to be clutched! Our big deal is still no rain. I feel like I should have a water hose permanently attached to my hand. Really nice to pump water on stuff at 29 cents per kwh at the house or with 3.60 gas in the field.

How’s your WX?

After whining about it for weeks, we FINALLY got a good soaking this morning. Now it’s going straight to hot and humid. Haven’t needed to use the A/C yet, but that’s coming up real quick.

Cool night time temps, still. My tomatoes are just sitting there - but the coming heat should perk them up. Once we get past this Wednesday, things should really start taking off. :)

2.5” so far for us from yesterday. Rain later today and all day tomorrow. Looking at another possible 3” but it’s been gentle rains so no problem with flooding below us so far.
