She doesn’t have my sympathy. Don’t have kids if you cannot afford them. Bad relationship decisions. Doesn’t watch what she eats.

She needs less food.

She continues this life because Uncle Sam supports her. She will not change.

I always thought that was the way all Welfare was supposed to work, but am learning that’s not true. One generation after another in the same family is sucking up the money WE worked for.

That's the traditional role of local churches. When government raised our taxes to go into the welfare business, donations went down. It has been a downward spiral ever since.

There was a guy who had his own billboard in Caldwell, Idaho several years back. One of his quips was "Welfare was meant to be a temporary safety net, not a multi-generational hammock."
