In my college music class, we analyze Good Vibrations in terms of complex harmony and also chordal pattern, and that it was written in a slightly abridged version of sonata-allegro form.

If I had more time in my course and it wasn't gen ed, I would go more deeply into Pet Sounds, and why Wilson is at least as important as the Beatles, Doors, Traffic, and Cream in creating what is still the pinnacle of rock music.
