Unpopular position, but I agree. A house is an asset until you try to sell it. Cheaper to rent, invest the difference.

I have been kicked out of two rentals because of a change in owners’ circumstances. I like my acre of land and my garden. I need them. So it’s ownership for me as long as I can.
