I think congresspersons who vote for a peacetime budget that has a deficit should be responsible to pay for the deficit themselves. I propose indentured servitude until the bill is paid.
So instead they should all resign as many towns police departments have done en masse.
I understand anger & frustration but moving towards a balanced budget & lowered deficit depends on growing the economy, cutting waste, unnecessary spending, regulatory burdens & setting tariffs to realign trading partners.
Cold turkey is not a workable solution. It is not wrong to make it very clear to Congress that the American people are fed up but it only advances the process to demand realistic steps not fantasies.
