It’s easy to think of it that way, but I don’t think that’s the case. Many would surprise you and be beneficial in raising the children. Before the War on Poverty, the black family was a cohesive, religious, unit who loved their children and valued the family.
Before the WOP, most black homes had a Mom and Dad that worshiped Christ and tried to keep God’s commandments, and they brought their children up to do the same.
Those days are LONG gone now.
