I just called out the V.A. here for that. My message to my PCP.

Hope all is well.

I recently went to Hines urology.
The check-in and the waiting room are in the same area.
The urologists are in a different area.

The patients there, when i was there, were all older\gray-hairs.

Picture your office.
To the left of you is the entrance to urology check-in\waiting area.
To the right of you is the way the chairs are facing.

The urologists come into the entrance on the left.
Most are wearing masks.
From the back of the room, they call out (not shout out) the name of the next patient.

Remember, these are old guys who may have various stages of hearing loss.
Also, the chairs and our backs are facing away from the doorway.
Any chance these chairs can be turned toward the door ?
It would also probably require repositioning the TVs to face the door.

The Urology check in/waiting room is temporary. The new space is under construction and almost completed.
I hope the new check in/waiting room is a better set up and better experience.

That's an explanation. Not a solution.
It's not "temporary" for the Vets waiting today.
Until the new place is done, the solution is...turn the chairs around to face the door.
How hard can that be ?

They still wear masks, sit behind plexiglass and some still want you 6 feet away, then they talk in a normal voice.
IN those instances, I always tell them in a loud voice: "I don't understand you. You are wearing a mask".
