Having grown up with both Amish, Old/Dutch Amish, and Mennonite in school. I will let you know that if it’s the business that owns the equipment then they are allowed to use it. They cannot own it and it cannot be in their home.
It was not uncommon for a few houses to get together and pay to have a payphone installed at the end of a central drive way. It wasn’t theirs but a public facility, so they were allowed to use it - especially for emergencies.
Old Amish are less likely to use these work arounds and unlikely to be employed in this manner working mainly out of their own shops located on their farms if doing anything other than farming or husbandry.

That makes sense. The amish built my barn using battery operated power tools. They charged them at my place overnight. They were brought here by a driver. Watching them put on the roof trusses was a treat. They had a battery charged power lift, but the old guy on the roof caught the 2x4s by hand, as the youngster on the ground “threw them” up to him. On another topic, as a NYer who can’t leave because all my kids are here, is it possible the NYC Muslim is part of a bigger plan from the white hats? Cuomo, in my opinion, would have been an easy one to beat due to his handling of covid and the nursing home deaths. Is this candidate to change the focus to the current crisis of Muslims taking over. I’m probably too naive but I’m hoping this is for a Good reason and he will not win when we get to November, after people really wake up. A girl can dream, right??

That crossed my mind as well. I've been trying (half-heartedly) to figure out how running this Marxist Jidhadist as a Democrat against TWO other Democrats running as Independents splits the vote in favor of all the decent, law-abiding New Yorkers who DO exist and have had enough.
It's important to remember that voters in the primaries are typically the fanatics. They do not represent the mainstream of the party.
Also, I used to regret the low turn-outs for NYC mayoral races (De Blasio won with 17% of the vote) because New Yorkers don't turn out for a Mayoral election unless their very lives depend on it. Well, this time they do.
This may be the saving grace.
