Here in eastern TN, I’m amazed at the number of grandparents who are raising children. The mothers are druggies. The fathers are losers.

The article's title suggests that the so-called fathers do not help/support their children. The mother is dangerous and the fathers are AWOL. Sadly, the best thing for the kids would be to be placed with responsible relatives or with foster care. Mom needs psychiatric help and/or prison. Fathers need to be held financial responsible for their kids.
I am thinking many of these children were born solely to be a form of income, not out of love. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure they love them but the US gives mothers a home, food, paid bills and takes care of medical instead of making the fathers step up. Uncle Sam is Uncle Daddy in America. The women never have to get a job as their ‘job’ is birthing babies for money. Sad and terrible. FLBJ.
