But the bottom line is....no matter what we do...no one can ever prove that any of it made a difference. It simply isn't provable.
I do believe the earth was a lot warmer than it is now. That’s how the people traveled from Russia to the North American continent. THERE WAS NO ICE AND SNOW!
Anytime the words, “may, might or could” is used to describe something as factual, it isn’t. And until the UN openly goes after China, climate science will remain a hoax.

Excellent point. We've been keeping temperature records across the globe since the late 1800's. Which is roughly the time the Little Ice Age bottomed out and we began yet another warming period (Modern Warm Period, see graph above). So the left gets away with saying highest temperatures "on record" in hopes that we don't realize that there were no temperature records of the prior warming periods (or that we forget the prior ones exist and thing the Modern Warm Period is unique).

For global temps, the data go back to 1979, when the first global temperature satellite was launched...

The satellite data is reasonably accurate - IF - you agree that the Earth can have an average temperature.
The satellites measure air temps at the 14,000 feet level, which avoids most human (urban heat islands) and local weather deviations.
The satellite temps have been verified by thousands and thousands of weather balloon instruments over the last 46 years.
In addition, the deviation of air temp at 14,000 feet has a high correlation to the deviation at sea level.
However, there have been (at least) three different satellites gathering data, so trying to average possible errors and deviations is a very complex problem.
The good news is that the same two college professors (University of Alabama- Huntsville) who designed the global temp theory are still in charge of the data. They never make ANY political statements at all, and they do TOTAL data dumps EVERY month.
On the other hand, the last 10 years have been conspicuously warmer than the first 36 years.
According to the two professors, the major reason is a decline in cloud cover, plus two unusually warm El Ninos.
Naturally, there are many different theories about what happened to cloud cover and El Ninos.

I understand what you're saying, but arguably there ARE temperature records going back hundreds of millions of years. Ice cores etc. And THOSE can be scientifically determined within some error, but certainly indicative for warm/hot periods and ice eras (not ages) lasting millions of years.
In contrast, what will happen in the future, be it 10 years, 100 years or 100,000 years cannot be measured or studied by default, and is therefore unscientific. Computer models are not science.

What I like about it is that we know from written accounts, not temperature readings, but every day life changes based on climate change. Things like during the Medieval Warm Periods people would tie their boats to the Pevensey Castle in the UK when the tide was in. Now, Pevensey Castle is a mile away from the shore (suggesting that the Medieval Warm Period rose temps enough to raise sea levels enough to bring the water more inland than it is today during the Modern Warm Period).
I'm interested in other proxy measurements showing what temps may have been like tens of thousands of years ago or millions of years ago. But not as much as I'm interested in proxy measurements from the past few thousand years, in which we can see how they match up to written history (pardon the redundancy). Things like the many famines in the Bible either during the cooling period before the Minoan warm period, or the cooling period after that (which corresponds to the Era of Kings). But only one I can think of during the Era of Judges (which corresponds to the Minoan Warm Period). That suggests that crop yields were better during the Minoan Warming Period than during the surrounding cooling periods. Things like that tell us to be happy, not sad that we live in the Modern Warm Period.

There wasn’t as much water in what is now the Bering Sea as the water was locked up in the ice and snow.
I think for a good analysis a few hundred years would be needed, better if we had a few thousand. But the climate is always changing, there have been much warmer periods and colder, so what is normal? I don’t think there really is a “normal”.
Vermont is having a cool, rainy spring, and expecting a cool summer. We also just experienced a typical old fashioned Vermont winter with oodles of snow.
Well, you know, in actuality the temperature of the earth can’t really be measured correctly in the present, let alone from the past . But I think what seems like the changing climate maybe simply the way our calendar changes and rotates every year and moves up a day annually
