Republicans can never seem to be team players. Everyone has to be an expert. ML is like hearing a wide receiver whining about a running play on 3rd and 8. He might be right, but what is the point of distracting the team and the players who are actually involved?

My guess is that Trump is playing for time in the negotiations for two reasons that could avert war. (1) Trump wants to pry Russia away from support for Iran. If that were accomplished, Iran would suddenly become much more isolated and vulnerable. (2) The ongoing economic squeeze on Iran may lead to overthrow of the regime.

Logic says it is better to keep an united front to the enemy, and disagree behind closed doors. But no, Republicans have to grandstand and proclalim opposition.
