Rush was definitely a bit slow to come to MAGA, but the difference was that he came to MAGA once the 2016 Republican Primary was settled (May, 2016, if not earlier). Before that, he definitely favored Cruz.
Levin held out PAST THE CONVENTION - so us Conservatives had our in-house “Constitutional Scholar” effectively endorsing Skunk Cabbage, until his ratings come in. I will never believe that he thought Skunk Cabbage would do a better job respecting the Constitution than Trump. He was simply pissed at Trump for stopping Cruz (who would have been destroyed that November, by the way - think Texas freeze, for example).
Our side needs people who think logically - and it was NOT logical to EVER support Skunk Cabbage in 2016, or ever. Levin did, Rush did not.
That’s not the way I remember it. Levin started moving to Trump once the primary was over.
He is now a good friend and talks to Trump almpst daily.
