How weird to call a “gift” living under law. Is not committing adultery also living under the “law.”
bizarre thinking up here. Another Bible scholar I see. Still hasn’t realized the Sabbath was “made FOR Man” and made at creation before any Jew was around.....brilliant thinking..

Take it up with the Author. He calls the Sabbath a “gift”.
And, indeed, the command regarding avoiding marital infidelity is also a gift. It helps grant happiness and harmony in a marriage.
Indeed, observing the Law helps grant you a more peaceful life. For example, avoiding envy and coveting helps you avoid strife and theft and unhappiness with your neighbor and helps you appreciate your blessings.
Note, this has nothing to do with salvation. It has to do with living a peaceful life on Earth.
