Passwords are stored as hashes. Almost impossible to generate password from a hash.
“Charge my Netflix account? Thats not possible.”
With AI it absolutely will be. They will “handle” your accounts for you. They can even make accounts for you based on what “they” think you want. Whether you want it or not...
Like I said, you have not thought this through very well. Did you see that word “Autonomous”? Do you know what that word means?
It will not need a password. It will only need a “service agreement” for it to handle your accounts for you.
“It will not need a password. It will only need a “service agreement” for it to handle your accounts for you.”
What is “it”?
AI agents that will be forced on us to do everyday business. Society, Culture, and Business is going to force this on us whether we want it or not. You won’t have a choice. Just like Cell Phone Service, Sign the agreement contracts or have no participation access at all.
“They can even make accounts for you based on what “they” think you want. “
I think they are controlling your FREEP account ...
I knew you were headed towards the 4th grade level insults. You always do it when you have lost the mental advantage you “think” you have.
It is obviously way over your head and you are too dense to understand the concept. You may want to refrain from involving yourself into things you do not understand.
Yes! Any sensible service that requires a password for access has been storing only hashes of passwords for many, many years.
Oh please
Computers are failsafe failsafe failsafe.....................
People who operate them wink pats bulging pockets.
C'mon TG you know better than that.
First, you're assuming that your password wasn't keylogged on the device, or transmitted in cleartext (hopefully over TLS but maybe not), or stored as a weak hash, or stored at cleartext. Not necessarily good assumptions.
Given a hash, all that's necessary is to come up with a password that produces the same hash. Doesn't have to be your password, as long as it produces the target hash. Some outfits are still using weak hashes, like crypt3, that only take minutes to break with any reasonable computer.
I'm not saying you're 100% wrong, of course. What you say is mostly true. But it's based on potentially poor assumptions.
Do you?
Aside from that the services will most likely store a portable password you provide as part of their service to be used automatically when it is required. Password management will be part of the AI service it’s self.
Just like Amazon keeps your Credit Card number on file for future orders...
“Just like Amazon keeps your Credit Card number on file for future orders...”
Only if you put it there. I don’t.
“I don’t.”
Now you are catching on... Just say no to all this crap.
But what happens when the Credit Card Companies require an AI account/password to even get and use a Credit Card? You going to cut it up or willingly comply? What happens when cash is gone and your debit/bank card requires this to even have a financial account?
It is real easy to see where this is all going...
