I’m a JROTC Instructor. I’ve had parents, particularly mothers, tell me they are perfectly having their teens alone with me. I appreciate their trust, but I make it clear I won’t be alone with a kid, not even in a vehicle.

I won’t put myself in a situation where there’s even the slightest opening for an accusation.
