My grandmother who passed away in 1996 had this thing where she was buying coins. I got a few ziplocks full of them stashed away in a draw that i'm thinking of checking out.

No, I don’t think so. I would check out govmint.com or other sites like that.
You need to understand what the coin grading system is. E.g. MS 70, etc.

Definitely not, there are some scammers on eBay creating error coins that don’t exists or are common. “Rare” issues from the various Mints that aren’t all that rare. The prices are all over the map.
There are some legitimate websites that are relative straight shooters.
