You will note that most of the coyotes try to distract the dog while one or two circle around to nip at its rear heels. One good bite on the Achilles tendons and that dog would have been as good as dead. The dog had to quickly turn to deter those while still holding off the frontal attack.
Good job. It’s amazing its still alive.

As a young boy, I took my Labrador and Hound mix to go fishing with me on the river.
Pack of coyotes showed up and the Lab immediately tossed one of them in the air.
They backed off and we got the hell out of there. I could still hear them howling a mile away.
