I use the threaded ones. It really helps balance the weight of a rifle, particularly a heavy one like an AR-10 with ‘accessories.’
I leave it one. Great for night time hog hunts as it completely eliminates the flash from blinding your night vision.
FYI hog hunting in GA is 7 X365, 24 hours a day. Baited fields OK.
220 grain subsonic 308. shots less than 70 yards. Boom —> hog down. DRT.
Does your AR10 cycle the 220gr subs OK?
