Abydos to Sestos is easy. Though not impossible, a 2-mile swim in the sea between Sicily and the mainland is not easy. Or so said my great-grandpa Rocco who hailed from Messina.
Easier if you use a couple of logs for a raft, or a canoe.
A 2 mile open oceans swim is not difficult for someone in shape and a strong swimmer. Amphibious Marine’s routinely swim further in full battle rattle. Been there done that.
