Journalism was phenomenal in overcoming the jockey’s bad choice(s). The horse that finished second ran his heart out, too.
Journalism looked like he was pissed from the post parade on. When he got squeezed he held his ground but it was almost enough to cost him the race. He had to fly to make up ground.
I think Gosger's jockey let up on him thinking he had it won. He must have been shocked to see Journalism fly by.
Flaven should have known better. I know the American Jockey biz can be pretty cut throat but to not hold your lane and let your horse veer inside in the stretch, not good. We are lucky we didn't have a severe injury to human or horse.
