That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen-I have never known/heard of a good result for anyone who puts out food for bears-they can end up with trashed outbuildings, cabin, etc as well as having their pets eaten. Might as well put out food for the feral hogs...

Years ago my Yukon just suddenly lost power coming home over the mountain one night and I got it to the shoulder.
All the windows were down but there no power to anything.
It’s pitch black up there and I confess to a fair bit of panic since I’m sitting in the pitch dark unable to tell if black bears are nearby.
Finally got it started enough to get outta Dodge.
Last time I ever got in a car without a ridiculously bright flashlight riding shotgun.
