Agree-a Raccoon with mange or some other skin condition. I guess some people don’t look around outdoors much-they’ve forgotten what ordinary wildlife looks like. Chupacabra-not...

Grew up a hillbilly.

Seen it all , generally know what I’m looking at.

As an example, a weird WTH critter showed up on my gate cam.

I was briefly baffled and googled “ Fisher” because that’s what came to mind

Lo and behold, they’re apparently common here but reclusive.

Cool.

( maybe I should have clutched my pearls and panicked instead?)

Only been completely stumped once.

Weird flying furry/skinny naked-tailed thing caught on camera

NOT a bird.
NOT a flying squirrel.
About 10’ above the ground and moving fast.
Roughly 2’ in length.

No idea but it looks for all the world as if some yeeted a possum across my field.

Maybe they’re evolving.
