The day Trump takes credit for European nations uniting and spending up to 5% on defense, the amen chorus will execute wonderful backflips. The chorus would scarcely miss a beat if Trump's next stated an intention to increase sanctions against Russia, or even uttered a possible statement of coordination with (redeemed) European " allies" to back them up in a peacekeeping mission.
All of this has little or nothing to do with Zelinski, who was Winston Churchill a short time ago but who is now the devil incarnate, nor does it have much to do with facts on the ground on the battlefield in Ukraine, whatever they are, it has only to do with the the cult.
Amen, without end, amen.
Trump needs every ounce of support we can muster for 90% of his actions domestically and abroad. If he fails to steer us through our debt crisis, for example, we are finished as a capitalist economy and a functioning representative democracy. But support is not mindless, reflexive obeisance; above all, we who support Trump must do so on the merits in each given case. We are, after all, conservatives, not Kool-Aid drinkers.
