That ought to do it.
Why is it always these solar eruptions? Stoopid climate change!
And I suppose the sky is falling too.
Wow! Global warming on the sun must be real!
Joe Don Baker passed away last week. This may be the result of his finally discovering whether there is beer on the sun.
Would this mean good tanning weather?
More fear porn. Any one of us COULD have a heart attack or a stroke tomorrow. If we started to worry about what COULD happen, many would be dead of said heart attack and many in insane asylums.
If it happens, it happens and there is not a blessed thing any of us can do! As the old song goes, “Don’t worry, be happy!”
Solar maximum right now. Lots of solar disruptions for a while. We’re in the peak of Solar Cycle #25. The joint is jumpin’.
You might as well be walking on the sun

Gotta love the DM.
Earth isn’t at risk.

The date on this story is 10 days ago. Is that a typo, or did this dreadful event already not happen?
Most of the material was shot out of the sun's north pole, so it will mostly avoid Earth... there is an increased chance of being able to spot the Northern Lights and a risk of disruption to electrical equipment.
Well there goes all the ice caps! Now the sun is going have the sea levels rise above all the flames!
Radiation from the flares has caused a series of shortwave radio blackouts
around the world--first over the Americas, followed by southeast Asia, the
Middle East and Africa. Ham radio operators may have noticed unusual
propagation effects from stations in all directions since May 13th.Most of this activity has come from sunspot 4087, which has an unstable 'beta-
gamma-delta' magnetic field. It could explode again today. NOAA forecasters
estimate a 75% chance of M-class solar flares and a 30% chance of X-flares on
May 15th. Solar flare alerts: SMS Text
