You know nothing of my values.
You know nothing about me.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
“You should be ashamed of yourself.”
You should be ashamed of yourself .
I make a very post about a normal conservative value .
One that puts human dignity at the top.
You come at me with some strange logic, and you are secretive about a situation you may have gone through.
Let me say it again .
Bad things happen to everyone. Turning into a victim is a choice. Victimology has been the fuel for liberals to destroy our nation.
Why do you have a hard time understanding this?
Liberals want to be your savior, THEY WANT YOU TO DEPEND ON THEM.
I have been fighting the good fight against the left for many decades—in very hostile environments.
It is deeply offensive that you dare talk down to me and preach to me about conservative values.
“It is deeply offensive that you dare talk down to me and preach to me about conservative values.”
It’s offensive to me you hijacked a post I made about basic conservative values .
You felt the need to make it about you and insert yourself.
Life is too short to argue with strangers like you on the internet.
We have very deep and fundamental disagreement about what “conservative values” are.
I have zero interest in conserving leftist victories.
We’re not tired of black people. We’re bored with holier-than-thou lectures by people of all colors on intersectionality, white-fragility, racism, systemic racism, and on and on . . .
1960 U.S. Census: 3% white births out of wedlock, 30% black births
2010 U.S. Census: 30% white births out of wedlock, 72% black births
(2025-1965)/17 years per generation = 3.5 generations
“We have very deep and fundamental disagreement about what “conservative values” are.”
Well, disagreeing is fine. That should be the value of a forum like FR.
My view is that conservatives value the individual and see value in each individual .
We want to have a system where individuals are free to better them selves.
Yes there are things we need to do together.
Build interstate highways and airports. And there are times people need a hand up .
But we want individuals to see the unique value and ability they have and to better themselves .
There are times people can’t through no fault of their own and they need to be helped .
Exactly right.
Obama was elected to help heal our nation's racial divides, but instead he amplified, aggravated and exacerbated them.
"Pretend"??
What does that even mean?
Doesn't "reconciliation" mean we all get along peacefully, and even like & enjoy each other?
You can't "pretend" that -- you either do or you don't.
Before Obama, whenever Democrats like Clinton or Carter were in the Whitehouse, racial tensions seemed to disappear, and even under Republicans like Reagan & the Bushes, it never got entirely out of hand.
For 46 years -- from 1968 to 2014, there were two major race riots (1980 Miami & 1992 LA).
In the 11 years since 2014 there have two more (2014 Ferguson & 2020 Floyd).
The Ferguson & Floyd "mostly peaceful protests" led to dozens of deaths and $billions in property destruction.
And yet they were not classified as mindless riots based on media lies, but rather as noble protests against something that all Americans should care about.
That's the Obama legacy at work.
I get a rate that is 15.2 times the rate for the 87.8/32.2 complement.
By “pretend” I mean that, at least from my experience, AA’s would “pretend” to tolerate European Americans, (EA’s), while at work or in public, but inwardly continued to maintain their resentment and hatred for all things EA. It was well known at the time that they openly brandished their hatred and resentments when in the company of their own, out of hearing of EA’s.
The election of Obama simply gave them license to openly vent their hatred which spilled out at every given opportunity. Those deep seated hatreds and resentments toward all things and people “white” continue today, if not openly expressed.
Furthermore, your definition of reconcilliation is a long shot away from the AA’s definition and indeed the International standard for “reconciliation” which always includes public apologies and forms of reparations.
And of course, the public schools have done all they could to exacerbate the problem. My white grandsons came home one day from elementary school complaining they couldn’t help the fact they were white....having been born that way. And because of DEI initiatives in the schools, my grand daughter, who is 1/8 black, is faced with a peculiar delimma. She looks white, which disqualifies her from consideration in joining cheer squad. She must therefore either declare herself to be “black” or, change school districts. Her mother is considering moving. On the other hand, if the kid declares she’s “black” she not only qualifies for cheer squad, but also qualifies for a host of other freebies and memberships.
There are nearly 100,000 public schools in the U.S., which range from ~99% white to ~99% black, Hispanic or other races & ethnicities.
The goals of school administrators and teachers should include to insure that students of any ethnicity feel just as welcome and accepted in one school as in any other.
Your experiences suggest that is not always the case, and that's too bad.
Hopefully, Pres. Trump's anti-DEI policies will begin to set things right again.
