I pay less than $5,000/year on my (now) seven figure property in California.

But for Prop 13, I’d be paying $35,000 - according to the Howard Jarvis Prop 13 generator on their website showing what we’d be paying if not for Prop 13.

Every Dem pol all the way up to the governor has tried - and is trying - to “fix” this and eliminate Prop 13. They get around it with high state taxes - and gas taxes as well, which go straight into the general fund so illegals in the state can have free medical care. Our roads are a disgrace.

Howard Jarvis is one of my heroes.

When I was 1 we moved to the LA area so my father could get an education via the GI bill (he was a ground pounder in Europe WWII).

Lived there for five years then moved away. Has some relatives in Lindsay that we visited a lot.

CA is beautiful — too bad the politician (mostly) suck.
