Vast majority had jobs cancelled...packed-up and went back to farming villages where they grew up. Not really a recent thing....it was already being noticed in early spring 2024.
I might also note...the Census number hyped-up...that might not even be correct. Some are suggesting that the true people count is closer to 600-million.
This is such BS. Much like in my town in Texas, younger people have left the farmstead in pursuit of jobs and $$$ in the cities.
The piece credits See More Rocks for alerting her to this info, but I have no idea who/what See More Rocks is.
Maybe those videos of people dying in the streets during COVID were real?

Overbuilding is not the same thing. They built without doing the homework. The population has begun to decline but it hasn’t yet collapsed (it may) and real estate pri es are falling,
Malls all over the world are empty.
Wasn’t much of this construction taking place when China’s ‘one-child policy’ was taking place - and most of the abortions taking place were female? The commies running China did not think this through. What a mess to clean up and the construction was shoddy on top of it. 50-60 million unnecessary units reeks of corruption.

So what? Do we care that our enemy is losing population? We need to get manufacturing back to the U.S.A. and the hell with China. China’s problems are caused by the CCP who want to rule the world. Screw them. Without their huge population, they are nothing, so I say this is good news.

Whole departments are getting remerchandised. This is probably because Walmart is changing suppliers.
A supplier in India might soon be able to offer pricing a Chinese supplier can’t.
Trump, with a great deal of help from Xi, might have sent China into a downward economic spiral.
Chinese families seeing income decline by 20% might cut their spending by even more.
Half of the country’s young people are going to college in the USA, probably on our dime.
China should import Muslim hyper-breeders like everyone else does.
