I don't think the Catholic Church is the "whore of Babylon".
I think the "whore of Babylon" will be manifest when the Catholic and Orthodox Churches re-unify.
Well that's a relief. Because that's never going to happen, in my opinion:
1.
From the Orthodox side, at the time of the schism it was 4 of the 5 Patriarchs that said no to the "Bishop of Rome" is the undisputed head of the whole church.
That has not changed except there are many more Autocephalous churches in Orthodoxy. Meaning many more high level bishops who would have to agree. Why would they? They aren't going to change their view that the Orthodox Patriarchs are the equals of the Bishop of Rome.
2.
From the Roman Catholic point of view: Will the Pope decide that previous Popes were in error in claiming they were supreme leaders of the whole church? Will he also renounce the innovations of the church since the Great Schism (almost 1,000 years ago - a lot of Catholic specific dogma as been added to the Catholic catechism in all those years.
There is zero chance of that happening, either.
