And unfortunately there are a lot of folks who visualize that command line terminal when they read the word “Linux”. The mental firewall goes up and never comes down. I found an Image of the internal software search and installer that comes default with Mint. There are actually two, Software Manager and Synaptic...

Here is something else cool... When you find an app you might want in the software manager you can get extra details including a review with comments and ratings. lol

All built into the local OS and no need to go to 3rd party websites or sources... Click install and enter password and it does it's thing...
