Hmmm. I've never read comic books.

But with the first set of MCU movieAvengers, I at least recognized many of the characters (who hasn't heard of Captain America, Hulk, or Iron Man?) and some of the actors.

But for this new set, I don't think I've ever heard of a single character, and the only actor (aside from Sebastian Stan, who's reprising his role from the earlier cast of Avengers) whose name I recognize is Florence Pugh, and even then I can't place her, just say I've heard the name.

It just seems like an uninspired, cynical, low-effort money grab to capitalize on the Avengers name, but well I guess that's Disney for you these days. Why make something original that stands on its own merits when you can recycle an existing IP by hollowing it out and wearing it like a skin suit?

Plays the Russian super-spy "sister" of Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff) in Black Widow (2021).

Pugh and Johansson are both products of a Russian super-spy training program that began when they were (un-related) children.

I really enjoyed the movie - Black Widow.

However, it did not break even financially, at least partly because the production and release were hugely disrupted by the Covid epidemic.
