Umm, not so with me. I got Covid and developed pneumonia along with it. I was hospitalized for 6 days. As many here on FR know I developed Long Covid later in the year (2022) and had to retire in early 2023 because of it. Chronic fatigue, severe nausea, insomnia and dizziness/brain fog/confusion were my main symptoms. I then developed asthma in 2024 because of it. It still affects me to this day.
I had all those symptoms, along with lung cancer and when they removed my left lung they told me that I had emphysema.

Within 8 hours all the inflamation in my body was gone, so was the joint pain and shortness of breath. Most astonishing, the brain fog was totally gone.
