For my sister-in-law’s funeral service yesterday, someone had created a slide show. One of the images was of her and some friends wearing masks. You could hear soft groaning from everyone in the church. Later, someone mentioned that seeing it came close to triggering PTSD.
What the hell were we THINKING then? Honestly, there were several months when I truly believed that would be our life for years to come — that we’d never return to normal again. (Thankfully, I was wrong.)

What we still don’t seem to understand is that the Federal Gov’t shouldn’t be doing anything regarding our health. Eliminate the CDC & the rest. If there’s an emergency, experts can be drawn readily for an ad hoc committee on how to deal with it.

Imagine it's 1936, and Republicans decide to enlist J Edgar Hoover in an anti-FDR cabal. Suppose these Republicans decide to amp up a public hysteria over the then regular summertime polio outbreaks. It would be difficult to dismiss the possibility that a discredited FDR is either not re-elected or would be too weak to engage the country into entering WW2.
Covid is on my mind as well.
After the two shots my wife and I became ill. She died of pancreatic cancer, and I have been sickened by a myriad of problems. I haven’t left this county in four years.
