Yes, you absolutely know that part of history, and I really admire you for that.
And thankyou very much, I am going to read up on them.
Maybe even on Churchill, who was a fascinating individual with a life story which is riveting. He would have hated me personally, of course, but I am lucky, since I was not yet born when he passed.
So much to read…I liked the biography of King Charles(then, still Prince) by Jonathan Dimbleby very much. Have you read it too, if I may ask?🙂
Once I find a topic that interests me, it becomes a life long obsession. The more I know, the MORE I know that still have to to learn. So I keep reading more books, watch T.V. series, documentaries, and every Friday, I watch a lecture by a Brit prof, who specializes in the Tudors, but who also delves into many other eras and topics other than Royalty.
If that is of any interest to YOU, go to READING THE PAST WITH DR KAT, on YouTube and see if ANY of her lectures appeal to you. She has covered SO many different topics and people, you may find something that grabs your attention.
For today's news, Lady C is FANTASTIC!
Why would Winston "hate" you? You can always drop me a note, re this, on FRmail, since answering on an open thread probably is unwise.
Yes, I have read Dimbleby's Charles' bio. :-)
Jennie Jerome Churchill's several volume BIO is also an extremely interesting read and the Brit series about her, starring Anne Bancroft ( who really DID look quite like Jennie, for REAL ), is FANTASTIC!
