Yes, same breed that Fauci tortured. They are relatively gentle and easy to handle.
In Fauci’s case, somebody ordered that the beagles be debarked, because barking bothered the researchers. Somebody did the debarking procedure. Somebody did the research with the debarked beagles. Nobody was bothered by this.
