“I think there could be a risk if you apply the DMSO topically. I read a report of a man who was a heavy smoker deciding to dip his nicotine-stained fingers into straight DMSO. The nicotine went straight to his blood stream and he almost died of nicotine poisoning. I think if the DMSO is already inside you, exterior chemicals still have to penetrate the skin barrier. While DMSO on the outside of the skin can shuttle exterior chemicals through, I don’t think it works the same way from inside the body. “

don’t double dip using same spoon or utensil

do use sterile cotton balls to dip & apply topically
