It wouldn't be unusual for a person losing capacity to become overwhelmed with frustration not being able to perform simple tasks or escape constant monitoring and correction.

I can't imagine what toxic stew is stored in Joe's memories of the children he pawed. He may be frustrated that he can't continue and/or, looking ahead to his own mortality, perhaps even he fears to stand before God who has seen and heard the tears of Joe's victims.

dementia? aggression? Those would just be excuses in the case of Mumbles. He’s had an ingrown bleephole all the years I’ve seen him and he’s younger than me by a few months. He’s always had a short fuze and it’s probly why he’s needed two brain suergeries. He doesn’t qualify for consideration ‘cause he’s earned every bit of difficulty he might be having now.

And, oh, yeah: Why was he always hiding in the fake oval offices? Was that even him?
