Ha! I’m sure he liked the idea of working for Disney. Probably a lot of room for promotion if he did good work. He clearly didn’t. Got fired. Then tried to cause innocent people to get seriously sick or die. I guess I shouldn’t try to diagnose his rationale. He’s got serious problems, but now will have plenty of time to think about them.
