If you don’t go for overprice alcohol and appetizers, you can probably get out for $100 a person at a chain like Capital Grill or Ruth’s Chris. Add another $100 for appetizers and deserts and tips; so budget about $250 - $300, more for heavy drinkers or wine snobs - perhaps a lot more.
If you are going for the food instead of the restaurant name, you can probably get out for not much over $100 for two (I’d budget $150) for a place like Seasons 52. Wine seems to be their profit center.
Interesting tidbit Capital Grille, Ruth’s Chris, Seasons 52, Eddie V’s and ..... Olive Garden(!!!) are all owned by the same company.
I know it depends on your circumstances but it’s a luxury at those prices for many..
Trump should push through no tax on tips. That ought to help the service sector.
