NFL looks at each player as an investment. They weigh talent vs. the risk of lifestyle, physical durability, and things like attitude and motivations.

If the gain offered by the talent doesn’t outweigh the risk of everything else, NFL teams aren’t going to risk tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.

He’s a “good” quarterback. Just not good enough to overcome something that apparently all NFL teams perceived when interviewing him.

Re: "NFL teams aren't going to risk tens or hundreds of millions of dollars..."

The #1 2025 Draft Pick will get a guaranteed four year contract for a little more than $40 million.

The drafting team also has a one year option [just for First Round draft choices] that follows the fourth season.

From memory, the #1 Draft Pick Option Year pays about $20 million guaranteed.

Elite players drafted in the First Round do not get HUGE contracts until their sixth year in the NFL, when they become Free Agents.

Even then, guaranteed money is still below $100 million.
