The convicts have already seen him because the news has been covering the story on TV. They watch that shit all the time. One of their favorite shows was COPS when I worked in NY State's prison system. They enjoyed watching someone else being arrested instead of themselves.

He'll have plenty of other black convicts to hang with. He'll be just fine, especially if his Mommy visits him as often as she can, and brings him his allotted packages for the month, and leaves money for him to spend at the commissary. He'll be getting his mother to buy the things his convict "buddies" want, and bring them on her visits. Any money she leaves will be extorted from him by the convict(s) that is/are protecting him. He'll be buying the things they tell him to buy when he goes to the commissary.
