The “original” Hardy Boys show on The Mickey Mouse Club ... “The Mystery of the Applegate Treasure” (based on “The Tower Treasure”).

I was a paper boy with the Buffalo Courier Express. I earned enough money to buy the entire Hardy Boys series. ($1.00 + 5cents tax each) My mother sold them all when I left for college, for $0.50. Total, not each.

I still have the first 50 Hardy Boys books ... all originals from the 1960s, along with the six Mike Mars books and 15 of the original Tom Swift books as well. They’re not in very good condition ... exceedingly well-thumbed and read over and over.
