They should put even bigger plastic eagles on top of the turbines to keep the birds away.
Solar powered steam generators in space.
The technology is on the shelf.
I thought we would have been doing this decades ago.
We started getting golden eagles west of the Twin Cities a few years ago and earlier this winter I saw a golden eagle sitting on a deer carcass in the middle of a field with two bald eagles waiting for their turn to eat. The Golden Eagle dwarfed the bald eagle. Don’t be alarmed, they will survive!
I’m surprised they don’t avoid the rotating arms. Smaller birds manage to avoid cars. Is it the speed of the arms, the size of the arms, some sort of air pressure?
Don’t know.............
Ask MIT Climate answers the question, do wind turbines kill birds, with yes, but house cats, buildings and fossil fuels kill more. Looks like deflection because of an agenda.
It continues they don’t know why. Visibility and migration patterns are possible causes. Slowing the blades down as a bird approaches might be a solution, sounds ridiculous.
AI has a similar answer.
The snail darter, spotted owl and California condor got a lot more interest and protection.
By the way, thanks for all the stuff you post. I’ve learned a lot over the years.
